anyone got simex mp trekkers?
Ok well i picked up a set of trekkers near new cheap cheap and have found that they are hard as and not very grippy.Im not sure of what air preasure i should run off road and have been told they are 2 skinny and wont bag out much and i should go for a wider tyre.If anyone has any tips that would be great cheers.

7.50 i6 on 16x6 rims on a 96 d21 nav single cab not sure on preasure think 35 psi havent tried dropping as im not 2 sure how low 2 go

Golly. Try half that. I bet you don't find them as hard and find them quite grippy.
@ 17 psi they should stay on the rims fine but will work eleventy times better.

not sure what the MP trekker is like, but my ETs on the sierra, even at 7psi still hardly bag on the sidewalls - they do get longer though. just cos the sidewall isnt physically appearing to bag out doesnt mean the tread hasnt gotten way longer.
They are a very stiff tyre though! at that 7psi with all the zuks weight on 1 tyre (dont ask, it was a scary situation) it only compressed the rubber half way to the rim (sidewall bagging).
I also have to run tubes in mine, as the bead tends to inhale mud and gravel at an incredible rate and cause slow deflation. Well, by slow, i had one go from 20psi to about 3 psi overnight.

Just for reference, i run my 35x11.5R15's at 40psi on road, and 16-18psi off road.
I'd say you just need to get out there and have a play with different pressures, but remember not to try land speed records with a low tyre pressure.

Also, lowering tyre pressures is not so much about bagging them out (east-west) but increasing the track (north south). The two work hand in hand, but there are variances in different brands as to how much.
