I am happy with mine, except the control box was crap, from what I understand it was only a bad batch though, just waiting to change it over.

Just got my Tigerz 12000 with blue rope, havent used it to recover yet only checked the operation and it all seems fine so far.

The only other thing was while fitting mine a mate bought one from ALDI and it is some brand called Auto XS im pretty sure, cheap at $399 he got it for and the control box, the winch itself and the accessories were all the same as the Tigerz11! I couldnt help but feel ripped off.

I hope someone can shed some light on this as to why Tigerz sells their winches with their name on them for alot deerer than Auto XS sells them.....

the tigerz does have a higher rated motor and tampon string cable so that will cost more don't forget.

but for 445 bucks i could put up with the amatuerish machining and piss poor drum welding if i was only using it every now and then.

nah, thats just what we call synthetic rope.

like i said, for rope and a higher horse motor its great value compared to the aldi job.

I have a Tigerz and so far it has been pretty good. It did stop working for a while, but it turned out the cables running to the switch on the control box came loose. A quick crimp and she was a screamer again. I had a customer in a few weeks ago who had an Aldi winch fitted, and it did look pretty much the same as the Tigerz, only it seemed to 'pulse' during operation where the Tigerz is nice and smooth. Also its nice to know that if something does go wrong with the Tigerz a quick phone call is all thats required to get parts, rather than dealing with a supermarket who sell...apples!

We sell both Tigerz11 and warn winches.
Value for money it's hard to go past tigerz11.
As for the aldi special, Paul from tigerz11 has spent a considerable amount of time in china, at the factory developing the winch and ironing out issues that arise over time to the point where i think we finally have the bullet proof final product. So his winches are Not a direct copy and relabelled version of anyone elses.
There has been a fair bit of developement go into the electronics to get them spot on aswell. So far, for the amount we have sold and seen abused in mud, sand and snow i'd have to say that i'm impressed with the value of these winches, so much so i'm actually removing a perfectly fine WARN winch to fit a tigerz11.

That would be because the Tigerz11 winches start at the $700 mark. If you're looking for a $400 winch, go to Aldi, but as said aready - you can't beat the value and service of Pauls winches.
