i just bought an a frame kit. liam said to run it with the eye horizontly. has anyone run it vertically (typical setup) with any problems. i bought a circlip for it, for lateral movement. i just feel the spherical bearing dosen't have the movement the other way. standard length frame (same as upper control arms, driveshaft length lower arms, 7 inch coils.
cheers

The joint at the apex of an a-frame has high side loads whereas a joint on a simple link only carries radial loads. Joints such as rod ends are designed for radial loads. I dont know what type of joint is used in your a-frame.

On an a-frame with a rod end, the pin in the eye should be vertical so that the side loads on the a-frame load the joint radially.
