Hey all,
Was wondering has any one priced Genuine manual locking hubs from Nissan??
I need to replace my auto hubs and don't like the idea of replacing a 2nd hand part with another 2nd hand part.
I need them asap.

I had the same problem with my auto hubs...

And to be honest didnt want to pay anywhere between 250 - 300 for second gq hubs that can be upto 15-20 years old...

I bought set off these guys, and fitted them up came with everything for $395

Do you know what brand they are and what the internals are made from??
I Bought a set of AVM performance hubs, when they turned up they were landcruiser hubs. (The dick at the shop sent the wrong ones). :bad-words:
They now tell me they have none in Australia and cant get em for 3 weeks when I need em next week.
Not happy.

priced a genuine set last week for my GQ $600 per side trade price

Cant justify $1200 on manual locking hubs but standard avm's dont cut it & got told by the avm suppliers not to bother trying the hp version as having a ls1 on board will smash them too..
Everyone tells me go factory nissan .. havent heard any other good aftermarket solution

I wouldn't be too concerned about second hand.

I bought a pair of second hand genuine nissan manual hubs for $160 from the wreckers and running them with a 400hp 351 Cleveland without any problems.

For that coin it'd be worth sourcing a GU front diff with manual hubs on it to replace yours. That way you'd get much stronger CV's and better brakes as well. I priced a diff for $1500. You can get them cheaper if you look around.

As for the hubs. I wouldn't stress about getting a second hand pair. Just make sure you give them a really good clean and check them over. I've seen plenty of them on comp trucks that are fine with a lot of power. I've only seen them break if they hit something.

For the Money you boys are talking go these for sure! You will need a stock hub too strip but you'll never break the hub.

i have been told the uto locking habs are stronger then the manual true or false? the afermarket items are not worth buying i was told the more expensive asv hub is the best of them though but not as strong as gen nissan hubs

noosa 4x4 wreckers had a pair of 2nd hand manual hubs for $170
as did suncoast 4wd service centre for the same $$$

i was given a 2nd auto hub by a friend that had to replace 1 busted he used gen 2hd nissan manaul's hubs and hasn't had any problems so far
