Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey everyone just needed some help with a problem that im going through at the moment, I have a 4.2lt petrol motor running straight gas setup and keep blowing head gaskets, iv decided to unbolt everything and swap the motor for a 4.2lt diesel engine and install a diesel tank, is this wise? will it cost me a fortune? i can pick up a half cut mav with a motor for 500 in cash should i do this?

If you can get a half cut go for it. It will have everything you need (except the tank i presume). That will make the job alot easier than if you were buying the motor alone. Mind you there is not alot to getting an old diesel like that running anyway.
