Outer Limits 4x4 Board

i have the marks adaptors ( waste of money ) kit to adapt from 350 chev to 5 speed landcruiser gearbox. if anyone is familiar with this kit suggestions are welcome. it uses a flexplate instead of a flywheel and is bolted up to a very heavy adaptor/spacer plate. i have replaced the brand new starter motor once already as i thought maybe i got a dud. the 2nd brand new one is playin up now. its barely 2 wks old so im rulin that out. these starters are designed for the engine. the flex plate is now missin a tooth, so its making it even harder to start. the starter is just "whizzing" now. should i persevere with this with some other starter motor? is anyone having similar problems? or do i sell the box adaptor clutch all brand new and get an auto which i probably cant afford?!! the marks adaptor kit has been a massive pain in the ass. would never get that if had my time again.

some chevs needed a small shim to align the starter correctly.
if you are having that many dramas with it call marks and ask to speak to him personally (Mark)as there will probably be a solution. if there is he will know.
