Fuel Economy / Power

Post by Delux-Rig »

Hey guys, I've got 1997 Feroza Limted that's done about 145,000km, the car is basically full stock. I wanna know what I can do to it without too much (if not any) modification to it to get better fuel economy (P plate laws are tough here in Vic for modifying). I think it's getting about 11 litres / 100km at the moment, I'm pretty sure it's ment to be getting 9.5 litres / 100km and I've heard of a few people running stock Feroza's getting 8.7 litres / 100km. Any help would be really appreciated.

Cheers

One of the easiest ways, while still maintaining reliability, would be a 2 inch exhaust system with extractors.

New O2 sensor for a start - they are a consumable item. 120,000km + is beyond their rated life.
( usual disclaimers )

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.
