Gents, a mate wants to run a 2wd lux diff with a supra Torsen centre in his ford mustang...they r both G series diffs so i think it can be done...my question is...can it also be done using a 4runner v6 diff ??? ive heard there things not interchangeable between them...reason for wanting v6 is he is looking for lowish ratio...will the torsen centre fit in the v6 centre??
Thanks for your info in advance
Andrew

The 130 series V6 and diesel 4runners both use a 4.3 ratio, however the V6 crownwheel is slightly heavier duty and Im pretty sure the carrier bearings are slightly larger, they will handle more torque. The 2WD, 4WD hilux and 4runners all use 8" centres. V6 will fit in a 4cyl housing but may require some clearancing on the axle housing.

The supras use an independant style diff front and rear dont they? Im not sure if there is a difference in the centre but if they are both the same on the transaxle code then in theory they should work, Y not fit a shimmed up hilux style LSD or auto locker to the mustang?
