Mating atlas to toy H55F

Gday gurus

i've got a H55F and standard split case in the cruiser. Atlas's are reasonably priced at the moment compared to marks ass raping prices for gears.

Can anyone tell me if it's been done to mate the atlas to a H55F? Was it still divorced with a blanking plate on the gearbox or has someone managed to make an adaptor to hard mount the transcase? Does the inter box/tcase oil seal stay with the gearbox when you pull the split case off or do you have to figure out how to retain the oil in the gearbox?

How have people been mating the atlas's to cruiser or patrol drive flanges? I know that the atlas has CV flanges available but is it just a case of drilling the holes in the CV flange to match the existing driveshafts? Does it replace altogether the stupid spicer/dana output that comes stock with the atlas or does it bolt to that

Am i likely to be looking at huge dollars for this? because if i am i'm more likely to just wait till the 1HZ blows up and replace it with a LS series V8 and auto box then just mate to a divorced atlas.

I'm looking at getting a marlins crawler toybox for my h55f. At this stage I think locktup are going to bring them in, they are currently waiting for the first one to come in so they can do an initial fiiting and do so sort instructions. Chris said they should have them by early next year, hopefully. I think this would be an easier option and give plenty of reduction and also access to normal low range and low low range.

Good luck with that. I spoke to chris about the american cruiser options a while back. Basically marlins was hopeless and never answer anyones emails, phone calls and all the talk of a toybox was never followed up. Same with the planetary sets from AA and a few others. Basically zero customer service.

It'll be great if it comes off as i really like the idea of a intermediate doubler but i'll believe it when i see one landed. I'm more than happy to provide a test vehicle though :D

yeah the customer service is average, but I spoke to Chris last week. They are using Zoltans rig for the test fit.

Marlin crawler are pretty good to deal with guys, they just got stuffed around by the Aus market back in the day so now they are a bit iffy to deal with.

Chris is right onto it now and if you look at his site he is the Aus distributor for marlin.

When the Toy box gets here ill be fitting it and making a step by step installation for the h55f/splitcase combo.

Shouldn't be too long now, really looking forward to it!

I wouldnt think it would be to far different since the auto and manuals use the same split transfer case.
