On my last 4x4 trip I noticed a new grinding noise coming from the front end. It only happens for few seconds when I back off the accelerator, its only when I am in H4 and am doing over 60klm/h. Any suggestions?

Not a shagged engine or gearbox mount is it? I suspect it could be the front driveshaft rubbing on the cross member momentarily.

Gear box and engine mounts were recently replaced. I will check for rubbing.

No rubbing cross member, it was notched out when I lifted it.

Maybe

check your front pads, and see if they have shifted, or your anti rattle clips have fallen out.

also throw an eye over your hubs and also condition of your bearing's

Cheers. There is play in the wheel bearings.

If you have only started to hear the noise after you lifted check that the splin on the drive shaft is not worn ,check uni joints and the angle on the diff flange should be the same as on the transfer case if not the uni joints will fight each other saying that if your caster is right the flange should line up.
