3RZ+T + R150F into Hilux

Hi,
I have started collecting parts for a 3RZ+T conversion into my 3L LN106R dual cab Lux.
I have bought a 3RZ, R150F and a 2TR bellhousing from a KD150 for a conversion. I made sure I got a box with a long input shaft (190mm bell), as that is apparently the one to use with the 2TR bell (or so everyone says...). However, it doesn't seem to add up when I compare the measurements....
R150f bellhousing is 190mm, and input shaft is about 180mm, and about level with the end of the R150F bell. 2TR bell is 175mm, meaning that if I put this bell on the R150F box, the input shaft will protrude past the end of the bell, and therefore ther engine flange, by 15mm, and that can't work, can it?
Do I need a R150F with the shorter input shaft/bellhousing? Should I just make a spacer from 15mm alloy plate?
It's entirely possible I have totally missed a critical concept here, but i don't think I screwed the measurements up, and they seem to match my "totally accurate" eye measurements... Anyone know what the correct lengths for any of the parts (input, bell) is supposed to be?
I know there are a few that have done similar conversions here.... so any advice gratefully received!
Thanks heaps!
