Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hey all, i want to put a water tank or two in my cruiser and would like to see what others are using, ive been looking at 'THE LONGRANGER' 35L stainless tanks that go up under the sides but at $700 each, 'OUCH'.
Any ideas and pics would be great.

I have just been right through all this with my 80 series. Camec, stainless tanks, etc etc... Big $$$ Bets bet BCF 59litre fits where your spare wheel goes comfy. Just have to mount it and make a bash gaurd done. Also put a new barb ontop with a hose to a filling point in your rear step alloy with a bung.

Stainless steel is the way to go.

Have you thought about water bladders like this:

I've seen some that fit in the rear quarters aswell.

If you are thinking of a long range tank you might be thinking of a rear bar. with long range tanks you can use the jerry holders for water.

hey guys, thanx for the replys, i should have explained my situation better, i wish to put tanks more central in my car to spread the weight better as i have a ARB rear wheel carrier, blackwidow draws, cargo barrier, fridge, rooftop tent, etc. but also when we do some of the bigger trips i put a second spare back under the back.
Im looking at trying to carry about 50-70L of water all up.

A guy on Ebay was selling one that went on the floor behind the two front seats. Was alloy or stainless but looked like a good spot to put it. It wasn't very high either so it didn't effect the rear passengers. I'm sure it was about 70 litres.

if you delete the centre muffler you have a huge amount of space between the gearbox and the chassis rail, opposite side to main fuel tank.. get under have a look, get some dimensions and find something to fit..

Do you have kids/are they still young enough not to require the second row foot space? I had a local place fold up a stainless tank (with internal baffles so the dogs -2 60 kg Ridgebacks- can stand on it if the little ones aren't in the car and it has held up well for three years now).

It fits nicely between the two doors in the 105, is a lower height than the front armrest (aftermarket) so it still opens and has a usable 90 liters of water capacity. It puts the weight in the middle of the vehicle as well. It has a filler on the top, basic schraeder valve so I can pressurise it and hose on the bottom side leading to a tap so we have easy access to water. I use 4x 200kg rated tie down straps to keep it where it needs to be incase of an accident.

Only problem will be when the kids need their leg space back! still a couple of years off that.
