Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi all

looking at buying a 4.2td with a blown exhaust gasket. Does this mean anything serious maybe inside, or simply gasket is old?
and whats the best way to tell compression on these motors?
any help would be appreciated

Does not nessecarily mean that there is anything wrong, best way to check the condition of the engine is to get a compression and leak down test done. This will give you a good indication of the overall condition and wether you can turbo it in the future.
