Hey guys my dad is trying to get some info on a suspension conversion on his 2004 model F250. It is leaf spring at the moment but he wants coils. He really hates leaf springs. He has had patrols most of his life and loves the way they handle.

Info i need is.
Were can i get this done in QLD(Brisbane to sunshine coast region)
Is this legal on this sort of vehicle.
Whats some other options. (He also thought coil overs if legal). No LEAVES at all.
How much
Not after big towing abilities. Only car trailer with a patrol on it. Very rarely

And his reason for this is cause he can. Wants to have something different. :D

Cheers guys. No negative feed back

First stop Q Transport to find out what you can and can't do, then a decent engineer.

Going on past posts by people, coilovers would not be legal. Airbags over stripped down leaves may be legal (aim to increase the GVM technically with option to reduce the effective spring rate with the airbags when needed)

My guess would be that any modification would have to NOT reduce the load carrying capacity (ie., must maintain the GVM), in itself limiting how soft you could spring it using only coils or leaves given the original capacity of the vehicle.
