I need to pull a diff centre out of a spare housing I have and was wondering if I could just pull the whole steering knuckle off the swivel ball in one go?
I've currently got the felt backing seals and stuff off and have the kingpins and bearings out top and bottom and it's very loose but won't come out.anyone know why?
Looking at it it should just pull out when the flat sides of the cv are aligned.

Every other time I've just pulled the wheel bearing and stub axle out but this will save alot of time of if can be done. Thanks

you will find that there is a clip on the end of the axel in the hub stopping you ..
the other thing is also the cv not lined up with the housing as it has two flat spot on it to slide out ..
you can take it out but you have to turn the axel (slowly) till the cv flats line up with the knuckle housing and it will come out "knuckle n axel complete
