hi i was looking into putting a suzuki sierra ute body onto a hilux chassis, and i was wondering if any one has done it before and if its worth it. i would like to do it because i am planing on puting hilux diffs, transfer and gearbox in one and i am wondering if it would be easier just to put a hilux chassis under a sierra body. thanx

ok... hilux chassie is heavier than a zook chassie
sierra body is heavier than a hilux body (by quite a bit)
essentially what you end up creating if you go down this path is a heavier version of a hilux that looks like a suzuki.
I would definately jam the lux gear in the zook chassie if i was to do it again. prob would be about the same amout of work.

Interesting. I always wondered about the weight issue.

Ive seen a very well built zuk on a rangerover chassis, which has the advantage of coils all round etc. It also ran rear steer. LOOKED
lighter than a full rangie body.
