Hilux diesel fuel problem

Hey

Recently i did a service on my 2.8 diesel hilux and i decided to release the water from the fuel filter.
i did this then went to prime it back up and it would not build up any pressure so i stuffed around with it for a bit, i pulled of the fuel line and it wasnt pumping any fuel out of the primer.
So i went and bought a new fuel pump and filter installed it and worked a treat, fuel was pumping so i primed it back up made pressure to the injectors, took a bit to get running but then starting running good again.
anyway after about 5-10min it would start losing idol and die on me, then i would have to re prime it to get started again, i just thought it might be air in the lines and i would have to keep doing that to remove all the air out.
this never worked so I'm wondering have i done something wrong? do i need to bleed the injectors somehow? any suggestions?

basically i think it's sucking in air somewhere or when i took the fuel lines that go to the injectors that it maybe put air in there and i need to maybe bleed the injectors thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks.

Sounds like air getting in your fuel. Put proper hose clamps on the fuel line where you have disturbed it and check your O-rings in the fuel filter, including the water drain at the bottom.
