lux diff centre Qs

I have a pair of air locked bundera diff centres, and i want to run dirty 30s in the front diff.
The front centre is a high pinion, the rear is a low pinion.
I was thinking of using the rear centre in the front, and getting a spool for the rear. Would there be any disadvantage with a low pinion centre in the front?
if there is a disadvantage with a low pinion centre, can i pull the carrier out of the LP and fit it into the HP centre?

You can't run the high pinion centre in the rear, the gears are reverse cut and are not very strong like that.
Don't you have a steering arm or tie rod that runs under the rear of the centre, that's why it's high pinion?
You could swap the lockers over there is no difference but can't swap the gears between lp and hp.

But why would you want to put a spool if you have a pair of air lockers... Just put them in

low pinion won't go in the front because the tie rod runs underneath the high pinion, same as 80 series setup.

If you go high steer or crossover then you could run the low pinion in the front, but as said, running the hi-pinion in the rear won't be cool.
Sell the HP centre and buy a LP replacement, you'll probably be ahead on $$$ too. Or I'd be happy to do a straight swap LP for your HP if you want...

You will have panhard rod mount clearance issues running high steer in the front of a bundy if I recall correctly.

im not going to run the HP in the rear. I would be swapping the rear locker into the front centre, and putting a spool in the rear with the LP centre. if the car was going to be driven on road, i would keep both air lockers. If i sell one, i can use the money on a few other things for the car.

yeah thats right, i forgot to mention the hilux housings earlier

thanks, i was not sure on the gears. I will be getting new gears to lower the ratios.
