To diff breath or not to diff breath?

Hey guys, just wanting your opinion. Do patrols need breathers eg.diffs/transfer/gearbox. My GQ has a 2" body,3" spring lift on 35's and I've been told that it is not worth doing, but when I read in mags and see the breathers on 4wd tv etc, I 'd be thinking differently?

Maybe you should read up what the diff breathers actually do, sounds like you have no idea.

Unless you like muddy water in your diff?

Hey Gleno....you're aware that your Patrol already HAS diff breathers aren't you???

Rear diff breather goes up into a chassis cross member....recommended to extend that up onto the firewall.

Transfer/gearbox and front diff go up into a T feed and into left front guard.

Hey twodiffs, where abouts in the front left guard do the breathers go to?
Cheers

yes I realise I came across a bit harsh

but it seems like such a common sense thing

Like asking if you really need to run a fuel filter

Bear in mind that mines a Safari, but follow a line coming up off the front diff...it intersects with a line coming from the gearbox/transfer case and then goes into the inner front guard between the firewall and vacuum pump / battery.
