just a tip about the lenth of the shackle you get half the increase of the shackle at the axel
eg: 2inch longer shackle = 1 inch at the axel lift

And your tyres will still hit the tray when you go over a bump.
You need the bumpstops at the right height then you won't have tray clearance issues.

Te issue is the springs. If they are sagging it's time to buy new ones or get the old ones reset.

i guess i need to know if the springs really are bad enough to replace. how much weight should a fj45 be able to carry without the ass dropping badly? I dont want to go buy new springs and open up a new can of worms and have little improvement as its only once in a blue moon a have a big load .i only asked for a half meter of top soil the other day but it looked almost .75 to 1metre to me so i guess thats alot of weight.

If your springs are shagged you'll be sitting low all the time.
IMHO just get the springs done, you won't regret it.

Extended Shackles are illegal in QLD so you should replace the leaves or fit air bags for load carrying.
