Whats required ECU and fueling wise for a turbo conversion, initially I'll just run low boost. I'm not sure if the map sensor will read high enough for any meaningful amount of boost which means I might be up for new MAP sensor and interceptor computer?. Also I have a Prins vapour injection system using the Keihen injectors. The gas injectors are rated at 32.5kW each max according to the installation manual. Has anyone else went the turbo install with VSI and what size injectors do you run?

What turbo and set up are you using , how are you controling your boost ,
I have a turbo and front mount intercooled 4.5 79 series ( same motor as 105 series /coil pack 1fz)
running on STD fuel pump and injectors and ecu the motor is fine at 2 psi 3 is heading for leaning out and 4 psi is running lean , when under a good load , if you give the right pedal a good hard stab as soon as it hits 4 psi which will be instantly if foot half way down ,so the ecu has a limit of what amoount of positive pressure it will allow before it cuts out ,( some thing to do when at certain altitudes in the mountains or something with air pressure  )

I gotta quoted around $2500 drive in drive out for a complete aftermarket ecu installed and tune plus what ever 6 bigger injecters cost .

The shop does a lot of install work for sprintex which is the campany that makes blowers for the 4.5 petrol cuiser.
Now sprintex have a double injector holder thing whch your unbolt your throttle body and it gos there and you move the throttle body , this bit is designed for the blower and is perfect for that setup . But I'm currently wait for prices and measuremnet of this extra inj holdeR to see if I can fit it with my turbo setup .

The performance shop that I spoke to about ecu stuff and tune said , he can try and tune etc with STD fuel pump and inj but can pretty much gaurantee itl lean out so rather than wastse money on a few dyno tunes , get a bigger fuel pump to start and then we can decide which way to go with the injectors and tune. I got a 600 hp walbro pump for it the performance shop said they use them on supercharged and turbo ls1s etc so will be plenty for my ute.

The 80 series ecu setup is better for boost as the STD ecu can seem to handle more boost , I was chating to a dude the other day with a turbo 80 . He said it made 246rwkw at 6-7 psi
can't wait to be able to put my foot into mine , ATM I'm just babying it around it cruises on the freeway at 1-2 psi so is plenty safe

Is yours running lean or does the MAP sensor run out of range? I can't find anything about the 100 series injector flow rates to compare to the 80 series, I would of thought their flow rates would be similar.
