tubbing front guards

im looking at cutting my front guards to allow clearance for 35's, curretly its an 86 single cab with a 2 inch body lift and ome 60mm springs with 33's. i dont wanto go any higher and cutting the guards and firewall seems pretty straight foreward but i cant work out how you get around the problem of accelerator pedal when the firewall has been tubbed.
i know it can be done i've seen the pics of the tubbed firewall but not the pedal arangement, anyone know how its done?

The pedal is fine because you cut the firewall below where it bolts on and you just bend the bottom of the pedal up a little to get Full throttle again. I only notice mine is bent up higher after getting out of my 2wd lux and into my 4wd one.
I will post every pic of when i did mine in this thread as i dont know if i have them all anywhere else here.
Im not describing the procces as you should get the idea. But if you have any questions just ask.

It took me and Sam maybe 1hr on each side but the cab was totaly bare and removed from the frame. As for costs i wouldnt know what you could get charged. And i doubt someone else could do it in an hour when the body is still complete.

This is what I did today. I had a fair bit of rust to cut out of the footwell so I tubbed it at the same time. I didnt want to cut into the body mounts as ruff had becasue I didnt know how badly they were rusted. As a result Tony would a have couple more inches clearance by the looks of it.
This took me a bit over 3 hours but I had alot of rust to clean up. Most of the time spent was stripping the number of metal skins of the rusted mounts.

I mainly used a jigsaw and a grinder with a cutting disk. But on the lip where the gaurd joins I used Beebees sabre saw (sawzall). I didnt find I had as much control of the sabre so I tried to use the other tools as much as possible.
