1HD-T injectors - can they be bench tested?

Hi,

Looking at getting 1HD-T injectors tested before commencing tuning work.

Have done 130k since last service.

Still starting easily and not blowing smoke. Economy does seem to have dropped slightly in last 30 000km.

How long between services for these type of injectors when running good fuel?

I have called a few places and all have said they can test them.

Place I am getting 80 tuned at reckons they called their injetor specialist and they claim you cannot test crack off pressure on the second stage of the nozzle? Is this right???

Still worth getting spray pattern tested?

Thoughts??? Price seems to be around $130 per injector.

I hear there are 3 different capsules for a 1HD-T - correct?

Cheers
Dave

The second opening pressure is tested and set upon reconditioning. There are adjustments inside that have to be altered to do so. So looking at the first opening pressure and spray pattern is a start, if they are bad, generally the 2nd is very similar.
