Ptential Nissan Convert

Post by CJ Burns Esq »

Dear all,
I am considering buying a Nissan GQ or a Maverick. What should I look out for? I am not sure what year model, but I am after a 5speed. What are the pro's and con's of a diesel? (That should stir them all up).
Main thing is what should I look out for, where does the rust start, common engine or transmsiion problems, that sort of thing.

Some of these Q's have been answered in other posts similar to this one, i know jack about nissan's so you'll have a look at the posts "TuffRR" put in about GQ or GU and the post where his brother has brought a GQ.

Heres a tip anything Cheezy says about nissans is 100% true!!!!!

Thanks guys. I forgot my own golden rule which is 'Never miss an opportunity to shut my mouth". In other words look first and ask later. I checked out the other posts and I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge and aghast at the amount of cracks that may or not be apparent in my potential new ride. Now I know what to look for.
Thanks again,
CJ
