how do iget a v6 hilux registed

looking at buying a 93 hilux with a commodre motor in it . it has rego on it now but how will i go getting it registed again as it doesnt have the commodre engine number on the rego papers,do i have to get it enginered or what ???

Yes it would need to be complianced.

Now is there any reason why you posted 3 different threads on this?

Don't buy it.
I put a commodore motor in a hilux about 10 years ago and hated it.
Was woeful on fuel and always ran hot.
Sold it to some young sucker

It was 10 years ago so things may have changed. But in NSW it didn't need engineering
as hilux's allready had V6s from factory, so was an approved conversion

do you know what needs to be done to get it complianced?? ,and i didnt mean to do 3 threads i just tried to fix a spelling mistake and ended up with 3 threads some how :oops:

emissions report, engineers report - most engineers dont like to come in at the end - they like to be involved from the start.

how much does it usally cost to get a engineers report if every thing is done right?

realistically the engineer is going to need to see the truck and quote you.

Otherwise how long is a piece of string if he wants something changed?

the rates they charge vary as well...
