hi
i recently bought and installed a top mount air to air i/c from cross country 4x4, they supplied me with a new intake pipe but i would have to remove the existing that connects to the egr. is this ok. what are the pros and cons of doing this. any help would be greatly appreciated.

egr removal 4.2 ltr
Re: egr removal 4.2 ltr
Pros of removing it are more responsive, less sludge in the intake, more power. Cons are slight increase in nox emissions. I would definitely block it off, just haven't got around to doing mine yet.
Re: egr removal 4.2 ltr
I've done mine, noticed it being more responsive and at oil changes the oil is definatley cleaner.
Re: egr removal 4.2 ltr
thanks for the info guys. i think you have convinced me to remove it.
Re: egr removal 4.2 ltr
