Protective sleeves for synthetic winch rope

I run Dyneema SK75 rope on my Tigerz 12lb winch and I’m having problems with the rope getting very close to melting on the drum near the brake. Some revovery situations just require a hard pull with the winch getting hot.
I tried to find a source to supply a procetive sleeve, but I haven’t had a lot of luck so far.
However, I got one interesting response in this regard:
Dear Joachim
The only material that works is carbon fibre (450 c ) because its fibres are hollow. I have been buying it from Dupont in America but I have run out, I will have more in March 11. Other fibres just transfer the heat thru to the dyneema (150C).
There seems to be protective sleves sold with the rope which aren’t really up to the task. I’m just interested if other people have similar issues with synthetic ropes and if anyone has used the material mentioned above or come across something else that works.
Cheers
Joachim
