hey peoples i have been wondering for a little bit now as to the possibility of changing a 105 cruiser to 6 stud.

would it be as simple as fitting the 80s swivel hubs(ones with abs sensor holes) and everything else (rotor, stub axle, hubs)
as i have lots of 6 stud wheels for my bundera would be good to have same pattern.

Full time 105 c/v has different spline to Part time 105 c/v's, which are thesame as 80 series constant/part time, so they mate to 80 drive flange on 80 hub/disc/calliper up front, and 80 series lsd side gears in 105 centre with 80 axles/hubs, or just put an 80 diff centre/pumpkin in the 105 housing.....everything 105 is just 80 with different guts....housings are thesame

i have a full time 105, so could i just put a set of longs in it, with drive flanges and put the 80 caliper on to make it 6 stud?

also from what i got told today is that the 105 has a 32 spline rear shaft where the 80 has a 30 spline one. and that the rear centers are different.

if im running 80s in my comp car would it be a good idea to change my 100 rear center and axles to 80 so i have more spares?

I have just fitted 80series centres into front and rear diffs in my 105. I used complete diff centres including the carrier

The rear axles of the 105 are thicker and have 32 splines vs 30 on 80series. I believe diff centre bearings are different sizes, and crown wheels arent interchangeable, different bolt pattern.
105 axle flanges and hubs have a larger outer diameter and a different PCD for retaining studs.
O/D on 105 hubs is 110mm vs 105mm for 80s
Studs and dowells are 10mm vs 8mm for 80s, studs are on 92mm diameter PCD for 105 qnd 90mm PCD for 80s
offset from hub flange to wheel mounting surface is also differnt, 105 has diiferent track width as a result.
Also 105s have larger brake rotors, thicker and larger diameter, I believe calipers are different also. You would be down grading from decent brakes in the 105 to marginal brakes using 80s rotors etc. There is a big difference in brake performance between my 80 and 105series.

I changed to 80s diff centres and axles to make use of Toyota factory diff lock that were in my dead 80series. I dont think it is worth all the hassle for the sake of matching wheel stud patterns.
