vacuum line to clutch

Post by Swills »

On a 1995 Nissan 2.8 turbo diesel the clutch has a vacuum boost unit that sits between the peddle and the master cylinder in the fire wall. Does anyone know where the vacuum line attaches to the unit or where it attaches to the vacuum unit on the side of the engine bay?

Thanks Clanky you have confirmed my thoughts it would have to have the smallest vacuum tank around, the manual does have a pic of one must have come out on the 96/97 model.

vac boosters were only on the 4.2 engines as far as I know.
The black mounting plate on the 2.8 you might be thinking of is only a spacer between the master cyl and the pedal. Its only about ~40mm in dia in the centre
The 4.2 booster is 5 inches dia and about 3 inches deep at a guess
