i think they are all the same. the only difference would be the fuel pump is part of the pick up and fuel sender.

This gives me an idea!!! I have a Gq with a 5l and I have had problems with external fuel pumps failing as I have a lift pump and a high presure pump both on the chassis rail. If I use a efi fuel tank it should solve all reliability issues. As well as giving me a quiet pump. Any dramas with these tanks sucking air on side slopes? Can anyone see a problem with my idea? Thanks

just fitted a chev to my patrol, fitted a long range tank that has a swirl pot in it internally. pretty sure the standard tanks have them as well and efi and carby tanks are the same from memory. if you cant find an efi sender unit you can modify your current one. for some reason some sender have 2 wires and others have 3. ( maybe fuel warning light??) i used my diesel sender unit because i knew it worked, measured the drop of the tank , then we just cut the fuel pick up line ,and fitted an in tank fuel pump on the end of it. MAKE SURE YOU USE TOP QUALITY EFI HOSE TO JOIN PUMP TO FUEL LINE ON SENDER. shop gave me the wrong hose and i didnt check it and it rotted the end and the pump came off in the tank.
you will have to run the power feed in through the sender unit, we drilled a small hole and used the insulated part off the back of an old alternator to run the power through without it arcing out, this lasted a while and then the plastic cracked, next option was a piece of threaded rod through a hose covering the middle 3rd which is were it runs through the sender plate , then a few fibre washers as they are non conductive and some nuts on either side to lock it in place on the sender unit, then some terminals top and bottom with a nut on top/bottom and presto a power feed through a metal plate. make sure you run an inline fuse as a safety precaution.
hope that makes sense.
