Have changed the tyres on my RA Rodeo over to 265/75 r16. Now my speedo is out by enough to be annoying. Jaycar sell a kit for electronic speedos that correct the speedo and odometer. Now does anyone know if the speedo in the RA is electronic or mechanical or even better has anyone tried this kit?
Thanks Matt

Re: speedo correction
I have a kit in my 98 TF. Works fantastically. Whilst the Rodeo does not get out and about much since me buying my Patrol, it was a god send as I would be alternating between 31"and 33"rubber.
The Jaycar kit uses two BCD rotary switches to dial up the speed correction. Once I knew the factors for the different tyers I used, it was a 5 second job to do the correction. I mounted the kit in my roof console with the switches poking out the side.
Re the RA being electronic. If my of 98 TF was I bet my bottom dollar that the RA definitely is.
Cheers

Re: speedo correction
Hi guys,
I've got exactly the same problem with my jack. its identical to the rodeo, can you tell me where you tap into the speedo wire? do you grab it from the tranny or just before it goes into the instrument cluster? I too have been looking at the jaycar kit too, looks like it will work a charm, the only issue is if you tap into it in the dash its a ribbon cable that could be quite difficult.
any info would be great.
cheers, James
