Tube bending for tray

this tray is taking too long to get off the ground as my mate is
getting bogged down with work and i dont know much about this stuff..
but will have a go.
tube benders ..was thinking ill buy one from a tool shop.
they have a 3" 16 tonne there..would this do the job!!!!!
we were going to do 2" 3mm wall thickness around the tray and
maybe 3" for behind the cab but would like to know what thickness
as i would like to run air in this tube!!!!!!!! any info would be great.

is that a cheapo bender from supercheap? or similar to the style they sell? costs $200-$300?????

if it is....the only way to get them to bend properly is to get a dawn die to use with them. the standard dies that come with them are sh*t and just kink the tube.

ill be writing this stuff down..i didnt think of supercheap.
rang the tool shop and was $250 ill ask about a dawn die

good thread..and blackwoods is near by
any opinions on the steel and wall thickness to use.
ive spoken to the engineer and he said above 2.5 wall thickness.
tray is for this car :D

thunder contact surfection on here he has a pipe bender at his place aswell as a proper tube bender, he may be willing to lend you/ rent you the pipe bender....

yeh thought of jeremy but im guessing i will have more uses for this in the near future..
