Full hydro steer oil?

What spunk are people running in their Full hydro steering? ATF? Hydraulic oil? Heard of people running either, my set up is commodore pump and a PSC double ended ram.

In the chev and Greeny we run a tractor trans fluid mobil 424.No foaming ect.Cheers Billy.

You can run either ATF or 68 hydraulic fluid.... difference is ATF boils quicker.... 68 Hydraulic fluid is designed to run under extreme pressure and high heat that the cylinder will produce over the old steering box....
My suggestion Hydraulic fliud if you have some .... also run a cooler in the steer system...

most ram manufactures specify hydrolic oil and NOT atf.
I'd check with PSC first.

at work we just use engine oil for power packs etc. and run torque fluid 434? in the machines hydraulic system.

I use ATF, havnt had any problems yet. But ive got a cooler and a large reserviour.
