Hi All,
Rebuilding my front axle and I am at the point of putting the new seal which sits on the back of the stub axle. How do you press the seal on all the way to stub plate with out fouling up the seal lips?
Just take a rubber mallet / chunk of wood to her and she'll be right (removing the spring first)?
Cheers

Re: GQ Stub axle seal installing
thats how i did mine, and lube up the back of it (stub axle side) so it slides on a little easier, probably not the best way to do it but it works just gotta be careful while your doing it not to belt it too hard.
Re: GQ Stub axle seal installing
also be careful not to get too frustrated when it doesn't go in and then you try and smash it in
