hey scotsride, my td42 had around 360,000 on the clock when i decided to
turbo it, i didnt actually do any test on it, but i figured it dont blow any
plumes of white or blue smoke, gets serviced every 5,000k, it starts and shuts down strait away....
turbo it..
im running 13psi boost obviously been tuned and 55,000ks
later im happy as larry. just wish i had done it years ago.

Yeah I turboed my old Maverick wagon at 309000km's. Didn't even tune just wound up the fuel pump till she blow some black smoke when it got booted .Was still going hard when I sold it my mate who then put it on LPG aswell
. And my GQ ute now 407000kms with a turbo strapped to it. She breaths a little oil but doesn't blow any out the exhaust

td42dan. what sort of turbo did you install. just reading threads and people seem to be quite happy with the safari kit. just looking more low down torque for towing and hills. does anyone have any good ideas. there are thousands of posts but no definates, "this is good, this is bad" etc

I threw a turbo on my oiler at bout 270,000kms.. Running a gt307, swaftec pump and 30 pound of boost and she loves the 200hp on 35s.. The mav loves a flogging. Never missed a beat
