What's everyones thoughts on how many ks is to many on a car specifically diesels but not just the motor things like the driveline and body etc. Is 350000 on a 4.2 diesel gq patrol to many even with an engine rebuild but with a turbo put on it?
Cheers Luke

My 1988 GQ has done 400,000 on original motor.. Has had a turbo on it since 1994... If the vehicle is well maintained 1 Million Km is a real possibility.

its not kms on the car but how its treated. I dont think there is anyway to say Xkms is too much on any specific make or model although if well looked after and maintained very high kms are acheiveable. obviously there are thing that will need to be replaced over time such as bearings through your drive line etc but im not telling you anything you don't know there

My hilux has a tad over 400 on the clock. On its second motor now with a turbo kit. Runs great.

In the 3 years I have owned in though i have had to replace a few parts that were showing their age. The alternator flogged out big time and had to be replaced as well as the starter motor. They are wear and tear parts though which can go on any car at any time.

So jsut keep in mind things like that
