Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hi i wanting to turbo my 2.8 diesel and i have a t25 of a ca18det laying around and i can make my own manifold but just wasnt sure how well this turbo will work on a diesel??? has anyone use one before??? just after a cheap upgrade to make it better to tow my other toy.

you should be fine mine, just dont run to much boost, even if you can get your hands on a t28 that would be good they are off the rb 25 which is a 2.5 ltr
im running a t28 on my 4.2 ltr 80 series diesel and it runs fine i just need to go abit bigger coz it lags in the top end coz the turbo cant keep up with the
air intake of the diesel

cheers, i was thinking ill use the t25 and see how it went since i already have it and can always use the t28 off a sr20 as it will fit up the same as a 25. how do you go about upping the boost with diesel's???

u can putt some washers behind the waste gate to hold it shut but i do noty recomend running more than 8 psi u will pop it other wise i have done this not happy but has bin running fine since new motor and droped down to 8 psi

did you put a t25 on or have you done the factory surf setup like that???

give the t25 a crack see how she runs the bloke who i brought my 80 off was running a t25 on it but it ended up blowin the rear housing wheel twice,
but the t28 seems to be running fine, so much down low torque its not funny only running 6-7 psi ATM only going to put it up to 8 psi and get a tune,

give you some idea on torque mine has i have no trubble spining 2nd gear and churp into 3rd with 33s, and i tell ya what i can give most people a run for there money takin off too ,

give it a crack mate if she blows she blows but like i said im running a t28 and its going fine
just needs a tune now

no worries cheers, yeah im going to give it a go. im going to get a flange laser cut soon and make up a manifold and go from there. i had a look yesterday and i think it should all fit in there ok so ill let you know how it goes.
