how to remove a LJ70 rear shock

hi all,
how do you remove the rear near side shock from a lj70. i can see that its a loop to pin but it looks like a weld nut at the top?

its an 1989 lj71g

I think you can remove the entire plate that the shock bolts to at the top (three bolts) from the car and then undo the shock, makes it a lot easier. Thats what my old RJ70 was like, did it about 8 years ago though, so I may be mistaken

i went out and took an other look and your right it was well hidden but i got it out in the end. thank you.
it was hard to tell as the owner before me had heavily under coated everything not easy to spot
