We have a steady supply of Strengthening Pans available. Made in thicknesses of 19mm for $109.95 or 12mm for $89.95. Includes mounting hardware, Loctite etc. We have shipped MANY of these to Australia.

Hey mate.
The kit looks good- nice to see a quality comprehensive kit/install instructions for the DIY'er.

But
Im still at a loss to see what benefit the kit makes? What exactly do you strengthen/stop from happening with the thicker plate on the bottom of the box?
Its just im curious to find out becasue ive never hear about many problems from the 5speed apart from the high high-way revs, well ay least behind the 2.6.

Thanks for the complements. The KM (FM etc...) series transmission cases flex more than others under torque. The flexing moves the primary shaft and secondary shaft away from each other thereby moving the torque loading out the a weaker part of the gear teeth and improperly side load the bearings. The TuffPan kits with the thick pan, studs and gasket maker help stiffen the case and reduce the flexing.

Ahhh ok, that makes more sense now. If i ever get round to rebuilding my box in the future ill grab one for sure.
