hey fellas, wondering if anyone else thats running a LSx in their 4bie is having trouble with the LS powersteer pumps? Ive now killled 2 in 6 months..

They usually die after a bit of high revving action

Have got a cooler that im about to put on but not sure if thats going to help or not.

Im running the LS in a 80 series and it has to turn 37" tyres, I know its a big ask but the std 1fz pump used to do it no worries :bad-words:

PWR do a kit that has a larger reservoir and inline cooler, as the LSX use to boil after a hard work out

I fitted a super cheap auto trans cooler to mine.

I don't think they are much good though - maybe shell out for a howe - they are not that dear from jegs of summit.

I had heaps of steering issues with my ls and gu box - locking under load etc so either the pump or the box was to blame

I've got a auto tranny cooler out of a vt commy, its a pretty decent size so was thinking of chucking that in. Can't hurt i guess

I've bought a Sweet one for mine and a fairly decent sized fan cooled radiator for it.

Lol, I boiled the fluid in my steering last weekend with a standard cooler on it
