Ln106 VP V6 to ECO V6 wiring?

Post by luxembuger »

G'day, I've got an Ln106 running a series 2 3.8 V6 and wouldn't mind updating to a later model V6, Ecotech for example. Just wondering what the difference in wiring is between the two different donks? Also I'm running a manual 5 speed which I wish to retain...

All helpful hints are appreciated!

Cheers, Chris.

How did you go with this?
I was told you can use an ecotech motor with the computer and wiring loom from a VN, VP commodore with some small mods. eg hooking up the map sensor as ecotech runs an AFM.
Did the ecotech have a alloy sump?
I was going to look further into this swap when my motor dies, and i'm hoping the sumps swap over.

Cheers

I know if you had a vr motor and loom you can put a vs ecotec in using all standard wireing.
