Hey mate, You are right, there is a lot of bad talk about these shocks but thats because of poor fitments and wong size shockes being fitted with lift kits, causing then to smash the ends out of them.
Set ya truck up right with propper bump stops and and the right length shock and you will be fine.
Ive been running them on my lux for a few years now and i think they are a really good product, a few mates run them aswell and think the same.

Call Rob at Offroad boss and he will tell all about them.

Make sure whatever brand shock you go for they are actually valved to suit your model vehicle , there are a few brands sold on the australian market that are sold per "length", its a massive difference if you want the shock to last and not fade that you have a properly built and valved shock.

Just ask whoever you purchase the shocks from if they are actually to suit that model and not just a specific size.
Pro comp, rancho as well as others not mentioned are sold in aus like this as america do not have patrols.

Do your research , thats what forums are for.

Also ask about warranty, only some will do a full one year warranty at minimum , no matter if they are 2 inch or larger, but unfortunately the big name brands wont tell you they dont cover anything over 2 inch in most cases, same thing do your research.
