Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I'm running an Limmo on the front of my truck & it obviously does bugger all like all lux limmos.

I wanted to maybe tighten it up. Or add an extra shim or plate.

Does anyone have experience with doing this? I've never tried so I thought before I pull the front dif apart I'd like to find out from some gurus
