Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi all...me again lol

I decided to get a mechanic to sort out the timing on my hilux 2.8 - he got it started and running but when he went to turn it off..ummm it kept running!!?? He took the key out and it was still going???

He then pulled the electrical plug out from the top middle of the pump and it still kept running?? I am absolutely stuffed on what the problem is but its driving me nuts!!!

What the things that could be preventing it from stopping??

Fuel cut solenoid not plugged in/stuffed wiring or just knackered. Nothing else it could be.

i agree, the only solution would be the shut off solinoid being faulty. it must be sticking or jamed open, cause once the power is cut to the solinoid it should close and therefor cutting off the fuel supply.

Hey thanks guys, yep so i have been told it is the fuel cut off solenoid - im going to replace it with the solenoid from the old pump which works fine..

Will up date once ive done it
