GQ/GU coil front end chassis differences

Hi

Don't know too much bout these big beasts but are the front ends of the chassis from the radius arm mount forward the same in terms of shock, arm, spring, panard and steering component mounting points?

The reason I ask is that Im part of a scouting group here in Brisbane and we have suffered front end damage to our bash car and are looking for a chassis cut to repair it. We run a GQ coil front end with MQ/MK rear leaf end. At a glance the GQ/GU fronts seem the same.

Also would anyone be able to point us in a good direction to look for or find a GQ/GU chassis with a straight front that we could cut and use in our bash car. Even more specifically we require a straight passenger side chassis rail cut from behind the radius arm mounting point to the front.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Regards Dan

Pretty much the same. Front axle is just slighty wider.
Might as well go GQ as there cheap as cheaps from the wreckers or better yet I am sure a heap got written off after the floods. So check the auctions.

Thanks guys!\

Think I have tracked one down hopefully, will see how it goes. I too thought that there would be a few around anyway and as well after the floods but not as easy to find as I would have imagined!

Thanks for the offer mark, will keep it in mind! Do you have many patrol parts around? Where abouts are you, still at sunny coast?

Cheers Dan
