Boost Gauge for Supercharger

Hi there,
I've just had a Sprintex supercharger kit installed on my petrol 80 series and was thinking of getting a boost gauge for it. First question would be is it even possible? I know you can put them on a turbo setup pretty easily but haven't really seen much about having one with a supercharger.
Second question would be if it is possible, then how would you go about connecting one up for it? It's a twin screw blower if that makes any difference.
cheers
Nath

you will have no dramas with fitting a boost gauge mate. if you get one for a turbo that has negative pressure only the posative pressure side of the gauge will be used as cars with blowers do not have negative pressure, you can get blower gauges that only have posative pressure, your choice really.
As for fitting it you will need to tap it in the manifold after the throttle body.
if you need more help let me know

Thanks for that. I should be right installing the gauge, the throttle body is on the back of the supercharger and the outlet pipe of the supercharger goes directly to the manifold so I should be able to tap into that pipe somewhere?

Ummmmmmm unless its a non throttle plate diesel (which the owner already stated it is a petrol 80), then it will have negative manifold pressure at some stage. Think about it.
All a boost gauge is really is a manifold pressure guage, measuring the difference in pressure between the maifold and the atmosphere. There is no reason a boost gauge wont work on any vehicle. Obviously not all vehicles require one (Riced up naturally aspirated lancers with boost guages are gh3yer than aidz though). Easiest way to get a manifold pressure reading is to tap the boost guage vacuum line into an existing manifold vacuum line with a "T" peice fitting. 5 seconds work.
Layto....
