Get a thick wire and run it from the battery to the glow rail and hold
it there 4 12seconds make sure it doesn't earth out on anything and as
soon as u finisd counting start the car . The wire will get hot !!! I do
this nearly every time I start if it's a hot day I don't have to do it in the
afternoon after work and it normaly stays hot enough to start for a few
hours after
if lifes a bitch.............deaths a sl*t cause death cums 4 all of us

My old lux had the same problem, I just ran a cable from the battery to a momentary switch then to the glow plug rail. Hold the button for 10 secs then start the car

If you're putting a live wire onto the glow plug rail and it's not working you either have greater issues than your glow plugs or your rail is earthed onto the engine somewhere it shouldn't be. The latter is very easy to do as it relies alot on rubber insulation that wears away over time. You have to follow the circuit with a test lamp and start eliminating possibilities, I'd start with the main glow fuse making sure the timer is working and delivering current as it should then move onto the rail it self.

Gluck!

this time of year it should start (badly) without glows anyway. i'm picking you have a fuel problem. i would check your getting power to injection pump solenoid and that your getting fuel to injectors.
