Cutting load leaves

Ive got a question regarding IFS rears. I did a search but couldnt find any helpful info.

Ive got standard height rear springs from an 03 dual cab, Im going to use them in the rear of the poolux, I have a 200mm rear shackle, so I shouldnt need to move the shackle mounts.
Ive taken the load leaf out, to help it move a bit more, but doing this, Im going to need a track bar, and possibly a block in to keep the height.

Could I, cut the load leaf down so it covers the spring perch, and refit it??
Would that eliminate the need for a track bar??
Would that enable the spring pack to move better without loosing height??

I cut mine down like that in my old lux with no problems, as have a couple of mates in thier luxs.

What I did though was put the shorter load leaf that was on the bottom of the pack on first and cut down the longer load leaf to suit the spring perch, gave it a little bit more flex.

leave it a bit of length so they can compress donw onto something flat other whys they will just bend up like a w then they need replacing, or just extenede your bump stops so at full compression the leaves at straight

yeah keep one load leaf about, 300mm long ish as banks said. and you will still need a trac bar, unless you plan on using it for street only (you arent)

These are my springs.

They are the stock height rear springs from an 2003 IFS Lux. They will be fitted along with 200mm shackles, and inverted rear shocks.
There is 5 leaves in each pack, 3 thinner leaves, and 2 thick load leaves.
I had the idea to do this, because everyone removes the load leaf, but in doing so, I would lose the height. So I thought that if I cut down the load leaf, I wouldnt lose any height, but still gain the extra travel.

So you guys reckon I should cut the bottom load leaf down to about 300mm, then fit, but still make a track bar??
