Just wondering what sort of synthetic Winch Rope people are running in winch challenge competitions and who to are the people to buy it from in Australia? looking at Amsteel blue or Dynex dux? 10 - 12mm

Try jaico in WA, decent rope for decent prices and cheap postage

You can get some cheap deals on ebay. My 28m of 12mm dyneema was $200.

Haven't dealt with the eBay stuff so don't know the quality but generally from what I have seen they sell in set lengths around 28m, and for a standard width highmount you are looking for at least 35m of 11mm if not more, and for winch comps I'm guessing your looking at widened drum which is more like 65-70m which at eBay rates is dear and from what I've delt with it's under $10 a meter including postage for quality rope

They have heaps of different lenghts, right now there is 60m of 10mm Dyneema for $99.

Cheaper thru them than anywhere in oz, highly recommend them. Was less than 10 dollars a meter inc postage and that was b4 our dollar was as good as it is,now.
