I want to lift my rig 3" higher.. what brand shocks/springs do you use & what do they cost? will be fitting myself..

other things to consider such as extended brake lines - do people just get an ABS brake center to make up longer lines? what they normally cost?

3inch you can use OEM brake lines, just adjust the cable routers, so they 'give' a bit more

Springs: Dobinson
Shocks: Koni or OME
Yours is shorty, so maybe caster bushes, or dropping the gearbox to rid yourself of viabrations.

Depending where you shop..

You can go cheap, get a TJM XGS shocks and Series 2000 springs for $800ish

Dobinsons, $120ea?
OME, will let you know this week, going to price them myself as Ranchos have died again

dobinsons are 380 from memory for the set.

then theres the endless range of shocks.

I'd recommend koni or OME.

Pretty much anywhere that deals with suspension...

Them or King Springs are the kit to go with.

I have just read some conflicting info.. 3" suspension is really 2" heavy duty? anyone ever heard of this before?

oh yeah and when you jack up the car to put the springs in , make sure you take the bolt out of the braket that holds the brake line to the diff, and just bend the line up a bit , without kinking or damaging it.
